I have no patience for crafting...

used to cross stitch but I always seem to screw up. Thought about scrapbooking and have bought some supplies, but I don't know where to start. I want to do some pages for a concert my daughter and I went to in May. A mother-daughter thing. Right now all my pictures are still on the computer so I'm thinking digital scrapbooking, but again, I don't know where to start, or even what to do with them once I make them.

Any advice? I really need a hobby or something with dh gone. I don't know anyone here, can't find a job and the kids (both teenagers) are always gone leaving me home alone.

Hi! I'm a published digital scrapbooker and I have to say it is my very favorite thing to spend my time doing.
If you're interested, you can find information on how to get started here:

What about taking some classes of anything at Joanns or Michales or something like that? I'm a scrapbooker too but I took a sewing class now that my hubby is on deployment and I had so much fun!

The classes at Michaels and AC Moore are great! I've been to a lot of them, the Joanne's around here do not do classes Their One Stroke classes are nice.

How about ceramics classes? I took one awhile back and they're really fun! They don't have them at the stores, normally just a small craft store in the area or something.

Good luck If I were closer I'd go with

Thanks ladies. I think the nearest Michaels is in Columbia and even thought thats just about 35 miles away,I don't know if I'll make the drive, but I will look around the area to see if there is a small store that offers classes.

Thanks for asking this question. I want to get into scrapbooking & bought a few things but really have no idea where to start. I'll have to look into Michael's classes!
