Photoshop help - Hobby Lobby

Question. can someone give me a quick lesson on how to cut images ( like a photo of me and T) and get it on a background like the one below. everytime I try there is a big white blob behind the photo, and you can't see the background.. help?

youll have to use the lasso and cut you guys out and all the blank space out

thats the easiest way i know how...

yeah thats what I tried... it won't let me put the 2 images together.

haha me either...i suck at it trust me i know you have to make the layer transparent or something...im really no good PM ilovemyairman22 (jenny) shes a pro and always willing to help

i could figure it out but its on my other computer..in the garage lol but if you still dont have an answer by the end of the weekend ill eb happy to look it up for you

or maybe i can find a tutorial...hold that thought
