poem
Went to open mic night here at my dorm last night and one of the singers' voices reminded me of the guy I was "talking" to and something that happened just after Spring Break, so here it is:
Moment of Bliss I think back to that night with a smile on my face but a sadness in my heart sitting on your lap your arm around my waist and my head on your shoulder sitting there together I listened to your somber voice as you sang wishing the moment would last forever feeling close to you in a moment of bliss I gently pressed my lips against your forehead not realizing this was my mistake my mistake that would take you away from me a moment of bliss that nothing can change except for now I know that your arms will never be around me again |
