Editing thread titles - *Photo tutorial in Post #6*

Maybe I'm being stupid right now, but I can't figure out how. I did the whole advanced edit, and it edits the title of the post but not of the whole thread.

    What am I doing wrong?

I've never been able to make it work either - no matter how many times I search for posts on how and do what it says

Then at least I'm not the only one I just don't get how it edits the title on the first post but not the whole thread title. I'm soooo lost.

I've done it a few times. I just tired it again and it seemed to work (On the It's Thursday! Thread).

I just hit "edit post" on the original post in the thread, then Go Advanced and it comes up with "Reason for editing:" Blank space you can type in, then "Title:" Title + you can change/type

    and then the post.

    Then saved it.

Are you hitting edit and advanced on the OP? Maybe it's a browser issue? I'm using internet explorer.

Ok, to edit the thread title so it shows up when looking from outside the thread, hover your cursor over the thread title until the "preview" comes up like this:

Double click and this box will appear:

Enter what you want the new thread title to be:

Press enter key. Voilą - new thread title!

Thank you for the explanation. And I can edit the title of this thread, but not the one about the get together. It's weird.

It never works for me either! And Lynn, I just tried your tutorial and that didn't work for some reason. Double clicking just opened the thread.
