Block or ignore Topics? - Help Desk

Can we do that? I know we can ignore peeps.. but what about topics.

I confess there are some topics that are so close and personal for me, I return to them to my own suffering and pain...

I know we should be stronger than that, but I was just looking to put a boundary on myself.. not others.

Hopefully as they look to re-vamp the ignore feature, this can be looked into, your not the first to suggest it... Gets some rest

How would you be able to block topics? Like if i did not want to see anything regarding abortions, then anytime the word was posted in a thread it would completely block that whole post for me?

It could be that topics are moved to a different forum from the forum it originally began in.

NM....I read the OP wrong, originally....

Or just have an ignore button right next to the title of a thread. I don't know if you'd have to click on the thread and open it first or if it could be an option right near where the stars pop up on the list. But I really like this idea for various reasons - sometimes I just don't want to see something pop back up in the 'New Forums' list again and again and again.

This is actually the first of all the sites I go to that has an "ignore" feature at all... So I just wondered something like you metioned.

Maybe after opening it or seeing where it was going.. "Ignore" that topic so you don't return to it. Help yourself out kinda thing. Keep you moving ahead...
