problem creating new account - Help Desk

EDIT: i'm pretty sure the captcha is NOT the problem, there is supposed to be some math question i need to answer, and one is NOT showing up/available/populating on my screen.

i know how to log out. i know that 2+2=4. i have cleared cookies, refreshed the page, etc.

okay seriously. i have been trying to make a SS new account for over 30 minutes now, and i cannot get past the "captcha." i've tried so many times. i've even refreshed the whole page, Xed out and started over, i've refreshed the captcha question in the box.

i'm not sure if something has been changed or if i'm having some kind of serious seeing/reading/typing issue...

i give up.

i keep trying... still nothing. it says to contact a site administrator if i'm still having difficulties getting past the "no spam question"

Are you on caps lock? Is the num lock on/off?

what math?? huh?

no caps lock and yeah my number buttons are on number (i'm on a laptop, no 10 key for me) so far only one of my captcha choices has had a number in it. honestly, its really frustrating me way too much, so i'm not even trying anymore.
