But, what is a Jewel? And how does one go about becoming a Jewel? How the the individual member titles work?

Can someone explain to me the MSOS hierarchy? haha.

Under your User CP options at the very bottom is a link called MSOS jewel... click on that and it will explain everything you could ever want to know about what a jewel is and how to become one...

Other then that im not sure what kind of hierarchy you are asking about besides MODS... (the whole senior member underneath your screen name means nothing and you can change that under User CP options as well)
