    I'm surprised some of ya'll haven't heard of DP on a ham!


    ...but then again I didn't even know there was a traditional Easter menu soooooo

    DP is a Texas staple amiright?



    After some google searching and talking to my grandma here's the menu I came up with
    Ham
    scalloped potatoes
    sauteed carrots with sage
    baked beans
    mac and cheese
    rolls
    deviled eggs
    salad
    strawberry pie
    cherry cheese pie

    Oh I just went back and looked at that, she does the glaze differently. I mixed the ingredients and poured it on the ham, basting ever 20-30 minutes, rather than cooking it and adding it after 2 hours of the ham cooking.

    Man, this thread is making me hungry

    We are going to my aunt's house who always puts on a huge Easter brunch/dinner. Not sure what she's having yet, but I am bringing deviled eggs!

    ok, so you glaze it when you first put it in the oven? The sugars don't burn? I might have to try that... more time for the deliciousness to infuse. I went and got a small bottle of DP today so I can make it. I'm so excited!

    They didn't when I made it last year. we just made sure to baste regularly.

    We are having our neighbors [who are mil-mil with the weirdest schedules ever] and another couple from base over for Easter Dinner!

    I have no idea what we are having. I have to finish unpacking first!
