    Favorite Holiday Dessert

If you could only have one holiday dessert (including cookies, etc...) what would it be?

I usually don't make a lot of dessert in general, DH and I get so full from meals and neither are huge on sweets. But I want to do something for Christmas but I can't decide what to make

Ohhh, I like bread pudding. I haven't had it in a long time! My dad used to make it sometimes.

The only dessert I make for Christmas is "snow cake" which is a white chocolate raspberry cake covered in whipped cream and white chocolate shavings... so I pick that. The kids would probably pick candy.

Do you have a recipe for that? DH's only food preference in life is raspberries I've been trying to find a perfect cake for his birthday as well. I try new ones every year but haven't found a keeper!

It's really easy- just use your favorite white cake mix (I always use the egg-white instructions to keep it as un-yellow as possible), bake in two round layers. Cut the layers in half and fill each with seedless raspberry jam. Assemble and crumb-coat with a thin layer of white frosting, then cover the whole thing in whipped cream (I make my own) and grate white chocolate over the top and sides- however much you like. I'm not actually a huge fan of raspberries, but the flavor is really nice, which is why I use the seedless jam instead of fresh berries, but my mom uses fresh ones mashed up with sugar. Blech.
