Sendable Gifts (baskets of ____) ideas

    Advertisements
So I have a sorta relationship with my Dad that includes phonecalls on major holidays and a few times throughout the year. We're on good terms, but just very disconnected. I've tried to be more connected, but months and months will go by and I don't even realize I haven't talked to him. Anyway, every year I send him and his wife something... the problem is that I'm running out of things to send!

I used to do Omaha Steaks, but then I found out he was avoiding red meat per his doctor

Then I did baskets from Harry & Davids for a few years

Last year I did a popcorn/snacks basket from I don't even remember where anymore...

Anyone have any good ideas? They're older (65 & 70) and live in Florida. I know they golf, but its not something I would do a themed gift around.

Do they drink coffee? If so check out Misto Box.
Maybe look on Living Social for dels in their area to do something fun/different.

Are they fans of wine/beer? I got a wine gift basket last year and it was really cool.

I was going to say a wine subscription-- maybe red wine since it sounds like he is concerned about heart health? Or a gourmet bacon subscription?

Yes, that's a good idea! Thank you.

The coffee is agood one too except I'm not sure with my Dad's health issues if he needs to be off caffeine or what.

A Southern Season has a lot of great holiday baskets which you can order online and they will ship to anywhere in the country. They have a basket for just about everyone...they even have a gluten free basket (my mom sent that one to DH's mom last Christmas)

Amazon has a lot of gift baskets too. Or, to be more health conscious maybe an edible arrangement? I love those things
