    Gifts for teachers

    Advertisements
anybody know where to find as such? I've got everyone else's Christmas gifts figured out except for one sister who is an elementary teacher. I really want to give her a gift centered around that, but she's definitely not into those hokey gifts of like #1 Teacher!! on a tshirt or plaque or whatever. I'd like to find her something that is actually functional to use in her classroom or that's unique. I've scoured etsy and find mostly just the cheesy "I heart teaching" items. Any ideas? Doesn't necessarily have to be specific ideas (though i'd LOVE those) but just general places to look stores/websites etc or types of things. I've always wanted to give her a gift centered around teaching in the past, but have never been successful and always gave up.

Maybe a basket of essentials? Hand sanitizer, Kleenex, dry erase markers, Starbucks instant coffee, snacks to keep in her desk, etc.

    Presents for Daycare Teachers??

I posted that thread back in December has a ton of good ideas!

I did movie buckets for my daughters daycare teachers and they were adorable! I think there's pictures in that thread too

Thanks!! Though the overwhelming consensus of that thread seems to be non-schoolish related things, and more just what the teacher would enjoy hmmmm maybe since I've never heard her really say anything she "needed" in her classroom I should also just stick with something she'd enjoy personally for now, giftcards seem to be the popular vote in that thread by teachers perhaps I should follow suit!

Since this is not your child's teacher but someone close to you, I would choose something like maybe a charm bracelet. Like this:
    Best In Class

I'm an elementary school teacher and would loved to be gifted something like that. I would stay away from gift cards/supplies because while they are great and always needed, I get sooo many gifted to me from my classroom parents at Christmas time.

Honestly, as an elementary teacher for 10 years, I have most appreciated gift cards and sincere hand-written cards/letters from the kids. I have also enjoyed a free lunch from some place awesome, having my car washed and stuff like dry erase markers in unique colors.
