    Day 6 ....election day ...

Today I am thankful to be an American! Though our country is FAR beyond flawless, we live in a beautiful place with so much to offer. Each city, town and state have such a different feel and opportunity then the next. It is truly amazing. I am beyond words, so proud to be an American! And I am so thankful to have been born in this beautiful country.

Like you, I am so thankful to be an American. Such an incredible blessing. I would rather be a citizen here than in any other country in the world.

I'm thankful for spending most of the campaign period NOT in Ohio.

I'm thankful for being Scottish? Since nationalism appears to be the theme here

Day 6: I am thankful for friends and family that disagree with me. Some of my closest friends and family, who I respect the most, are the ones that I disagree with on... well, everything! Politics, parenting, religion... hell, even fashion. =P The diversity that they bring into my life teaches me so many things... How to debate without making it personal. How to look past a position and see someone for who they are. How to walk away when the fight isn't worth harming the relationship. How to find common ground even when I disagree with a position. And, most of all, when all is said and done, we ALL want the same things in the end, we may just disagree on which road is going to get us there.
