    Healthy Halloween treats?

    Advertisements
Suprisingly (since most schools have done away with any type of celebrating) DS's school is still having Halloween parties! You know, the costume parade and classroom party. He is in Kindegarten so I was super excited they are still doing this! I making treats! But obviously, since I went to school, things are much more geared towards healthy snacks! So...I see all these super cute recipes for cupcakes, cookies, etc. Does anyone have a fun, healthy treat idea?

Well, for snacks for a party, I always sent in either baby carrots and ranch dressing or I stabbed cheese cubes with the small pretzel sticks. They were always a big hit. When they were older, I would also send in fruit kabobs, but I'm not sure how kindergarteners would do with the kabob sticks once the fruit was gone. Don't want anything turning into a weapon!

We make jello squares and you can cut them out cute with cookie cutters. Kids like them and you can make them sugar free.

Good ideas both! I like the idea of the cheese on the end of the pretzles! Could try to make it look like a bone, lol, you know, halloweeny like? And the jello with halloween cookie cutters is a great idea! I will have to see what I got laying around

    Veggie or fruit pizza?

I have done the fruit pizza with sugar cookies and sent the "recipe" in for the kids to make them.
