Duty on Thanksgiving - Happy Holidays

Does anyone else's SO have duty on Thursday?

Mine will be on the ship, so I am taking him a big plate of food.

And we're celebrating Thanksgiving again the next day for him.

Yea, but we've been lucky. So far he's only missed one anniversary, and this is his first holiday.

mine doesnt have duty Thanksgiving but he is leaving on the ship monday for about a week

shockingly mine doesnt. he has duty today and saturday. oh and fire watch wednesday morning. but he has most of wednesday off, thurs off, fri off FINALLY! that man is overworked.

He has it the day after which is tradionally when I start the Christmas season with cookies and decorations. But we'll do that Saturday

Sorry he has duty ON thanksgiving tho. That stinks

So far he just has to call in Thursday morning. The watch bill isn't out yet, but I hope he doesn't have watch because who will cook?! We could always celebrate on Friday though.

Sorry your honey will be stuck on the ship. Jason's been stuck on the JFK for one of our thanksgivings. I took food up there for him and about 20 other people. They were very thankful!

My DH has duty but he took leave Thursday and Friday so that he could be home.

I'm sorry Michelle

Josh doesn't get holidays off with his corrections job unless they fall on his day off... which happens to be Thursday. So, he lucked out and got Wed and Thursday off... 1st 2 days off in a row (other than our Honeymoon) since he started working and got out of training.
But... he won't be off for Christmas Eve or Christmas... he will work till alteasr 1:30 unless he is 1st up to work a double... then no Christmas. And I won't have Jer either since he will be in Idaho... Im kinda upset
