Thanksgiving Day Help!
Okay ladies, need your assistence.
I am a fairly kitchen competent woman, but I have one kryptonite = GRAVY. I have made a few turkeys in my day, but I really don't like gravy so I have never made it... I am ashamed to admit it, but I have served canned But now hubby is bringing a few gents from his BUDs class I feel compelled to try and make actual gravy. So any and all tips and tricks would be appreciated. Also if you have any "must haves" for an American thanksgiving, give it up. With a special request for fav appys that you serve on Turkey day. I am Canadian, so Thanksgiving is in October and its not really a big deal there. I am thinking of doing... Turkey, with Stovetop (should I be doing a "better" stuffing?) Garlic Mashed Potatoes Broccoli and Cauliflour Cheese bake Tossed Salad Sweet Potato Marshmallow bake Buns Canned Cranberry sauce Pumpkin Pie Pumpkin Cheesecake - Cheesecake Factory (Sam's Club) Plain Cheesecake (I don't care for Pumpkin) Bear in mind that hubby is going to be bringing about 10 - 12 guys who are going through some of the toughest training the military has to offer, so I want to do a nice dinner, a bit of a break for these guys, a time for a bit of team building (Wow am I putting a lot of pressure on this turkey or what )All right ladies I leave it with you!

You can also take the neck and the giblets and boil them to make a really good broth, you will want to add some of the drippings to....after you remove the neck and the giblets...cut the giblets up really fine and add that to the gravy also. I follow the instructions for gravy on the side of the cornstarch box to make it thick!!
