i can't believe it is already the holidays!! I am craving some good homemade rolls and turkey! I am not a great cook so I won't be making anything really. Going to the In-laws for some good food instead.

No, you can take it out two days before you're going to cook it, and let it defrost in the fridge.


We're supposed to be having a Thanksgiving potluck with some friends, since nobody's going home....I need to go grocery shopping.

ETA three or four days....depends on how big the turkey is.

I'll be sitting here missing my family. I may cook a mini-meal. Since none of us like dark meat I'm thinking of cooking up some turkey breasts along with all the usual trimmings. Last year I made homemade cranberry sauce and it was SOOO good. Dh said he actually liked the canned stuff better

You should cook.. It's really not all that hard, and if it's just going to be you and your DH and maybe a few extra people, just get turkey breasts, or even a couple really large chickens and bake them in place of a turkey. They also take less time to cook. Good luck!
