When do you put up decorations? - Happy Holidays

When do you ladies start putting up your Christmas/holiday decorations? My mom usually started the day after Thanksgiving. This will be dh and my first Christmas home by ourselves, so I think I'm going to start the day after Thanksgiving. What about you ladies?

My christmas tree is already up with lights and ornaments.lol.. My Dh got board and thought that it sounded fun I guess cause I was talking to a friend about christmas, and well next thing I knew my tree was up.lol... Hugs and Kisses Nikki

First week of December, but I don't celebrate Thanksgiving so I don't have that benchmark date.

Thanksgiving decorations go up the first of Nov and Christmas decoractions go up anywhere from the day after Thanksgiving to the first of Dec.

the weekend after thanksgiving is when we get our tree but as far as decorating, we start that weekend and pretty much aren't done with the lights outside till a week before xmas...we end up adding more and more lighting cuz the neighbors all try to outdo each other...hehehe

I will be doing mine the day after Thanksgiving this year since dh has duty!! We usually wait until the first week of Dec...but he won't be here for that weekend...sooooo, they are going up!

Ours will probably be going up Thanksgiving weekend. His mom is coming to visit the first weekend in Dec so he wants the whole house decorated before she comes.
