    Thanksgiving for two

    Advertisements
If its just you and your SO this year or you and one other what will be on your menu? If there is a thread about this already I missed it so point me that way

I clearly will not be making a whole turkey but am thinking of dong roast chicken. Maybe even a small pork loin. I am going to pretty much do some other favorites just in a much smaller way. Green beans, mashed potatoes and gravy, would never leave out stuffing.

So what are you all having?

You could always do a turkey breast. Or find a tiny turkey. Even when it was just the two of us, I always did the traditional dinner, with appetizers and all.

Ditto. I actually had Thanksgiving on Sunday, since I work on Thursday. My mom and her SO came down. I made a Turkey Breast (which was great, except that you can't stuff it) and also a Ham (for DB since he dislikes Turkey).

    We also had:

    Stuffing
    Gravy
    Mashed Potatoes
    Sweet Potato Casserole
    Green Bean Casserole
    Apple Crisp

It was a great dinner. I have TONS left over. On Monday I made a Tex-Mex Turkey Soup to use up some of the leftovers, and I STILL have a bunch left. No clue what to do .

Well I hope you have a wonderful holiday!!

    Happy Thanksgiving!!!!!

We are having ham (we bought a small one since neither one of us like turkey) with homemade glaze, garlic mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce and I am making a red velvet cake for dessert.

Thank you everyone for your ideas. Ham is not a bad idea at all. I really want to avoid any kind of left overs because we are leaving town the next day and wont be back till early next week. They would all go to waste which I hate doing! Ham is a good idea because I can bring it in the car the next day for our long drive and make ham sandwiches... YUM!
