Christmas budget - Happy Holidays

Do you and your SO set a budget on how much to spend on one another for Christmas? If so, about how much?

we always say "only $100" or some number in that ballpark, but he always goes WAY overboard. I can't complain though!

I make significantly less than him. He usually gets one big gift and little things, about 500$. DB spends too much. Too too much.

We are doing a temp budget, but im sure its going to change and go up as we come up with what we want and add in shipping charges... Right now its $500 each.

Well, this is our first Christmas together, so were dealing with this right now actually. He made me agree to keep it to about $100....then told me the thing he's getting me cost a LOT more than that. But I make a lot less than him, and have a lot of bills, so I might just end up sticking to that $100 limit...for one of his gifts.

We have yet to set a budget. DB always spends way more of me, than I do him (due to our difference financial situations). I really want to get him some awesome gifts this Christmas!

Yep! We're for sure sticking to our budget this year, especially with an upcoming PCS...

I'm glad you posted this, I'm gonna start transferring money to a christmas accout cause I can think of a few things to get him

I want to get him a Mac laptop so it will be 2 of my checks but its well worth it, when he deploys I really wont have to worry about not being able to talk to him, I also getting him a internet stick incase they don't have internt when he first ges there
