Holidays - Happy Holidays

What do you do for holidays? Do you go home to his family, yours, or one of them come to your house or both? or neither. He said since its our first xmas he def. wants to spend it with me.

It depends on where we live.

When we were stationed in Florida, we always went to my families place for the Holidays. Now that we are living in California, we alway spend the holidays with his Mom and her husband. The rest of my DH's family lives in Montana. If we travel up there around holiday time, we will spend it with DH's family.

When he's home, we spend the holiday's with my family. He doesn't really like his family all that much.

we want to pa last xmas to see his family, were gonna do that again this year if things go well.

Since both our families live in the same city almost we'll probably end up spending it with both, that is if we can afford to fly back home, but if not we can pretty much write off his family ever traveling to see us unless we're stationed near disney world or land...

My family will fly to see us if they have the finances available. They say they want to come for Christmas so we'll see! I HOPE SO!!!!

we split it up.. one family for thanksgiving- one for christmas.. we live close to both of our families so we see them year round

It depends on where we live.

Us too. If DH has leave and we're close enough to family that it won't break the bank getting to them, then whoever we're closest to gets us for most the holidays while we live there. Like when we lived in CA we spent most of the holidays with his family. Now that we live in New England close enough to my family, we spend a lot of the holidays with them. Holidays where DH can't get enough time off or we don't have the money we just stay home and celebrate just the 2 of us (well, 3 now that we have DD)....

We would spilt it up. Well we did when we lived closer to them lol (3hrs) Now we just vist all the family on the same trip b/c they are so far away.(13hrs)

Our first Christmas together we went to his family's house. This yr it's here in Diego with mine. Next yr it will be his, repeat
