So EXCITED!!! - Happy Holidays

I get to cook my VERY FIRST Thanksgiving turkey this year!!!! We're going to have A LOT of people over for Thanksgiving!!! It's going to be a divisional thing so I'm cooking the turkey, ham, cornbread dressing, and making deviled eggs!!

I'm going to be one busy cooking woman, BUT I couldn't be happier!!!

I can't wait!!! I guess it's something I inherited, because my Granny always had a lot of people at her house for Thanksgiving, as did her mother, my Meme!! I'm so excited!!!

Now I just have to figure out how I want to cook my turkey and how to get it all to fit into the oven the morning of! LOL!!!

Should be interesting!!!!

How awesome!! It will be so fun. You will probably see yourself doing alot of what your mom use to do

I did the very first time I cooked ours... I felt so grown up

Thats how I was...DH was like why are you doing it that way, and I would say "because thats how my momma did it!"

Yup!!! I will probably do it just like my Mom and Granny!! LOL!!

I'm using my Granny's cornbread dressing recipe!! Hopefully I'll do it justice. It takes a full DAY AHEAD of prep so I'll be up late the night before and up EARLY the day of, but I wouldn't have it any other way!!!

I've got to get all my decorations up too!! I'm putting up my Christmas stuff early because of deployment so my house is going to be VERY VERY festive!! I can't wait!!

I don't have a whole lot of time to prepare, but I will conquer it and I couldn't be more excited!!!!

I want to come! Lol-we already decided that since Autumn's birthday falls on Thanksgiving that we won't really be celebrating it. We'll probably end up making homemade chicken nuggets or something of the like.

Have fun though, and good luck! I've never cooked a turkey...or...successfully, much of anything.

But I'm sure you knew that.
