Holiday Plans??? Already... - Happy Holidays

DH brought home the holiday leave schedule Friday.. I can't believe it's already that time.

He's taking 1st leave so that we'll have a couple days after Christmas to spend with his grandma.

We're going to be at his grandmas for a few days over Thanksgiving.. and then for a few days during Christmas leave.

Anyone else got holiday plans yet?

we will have family up here splitting up december so his parents will be here for christmas and we are having an early christmas with my family lol

You're definately going to be busy!

I'm dreading the time with DH's family.. the only person I really enjoy spending time with is his grandma.. I have a feeling we'll be in the kitchen a lot..

DH will be gone so I am taking Thanksgivng off and taking the kids and I out to dinner and Xmas I will cook for my family like I always do.

Well, for us alot depends on the house and if it sells.

One way or another, we're spending Thanksgiving with Valgal and her family

. Christmas will be just our family - part of me hopes we can spend it here, because I do love my house...but if the house sells we'll be somewhere else

But together...with my family, regardless. I'll be doing a caramel apple pie for thansgiving (and maybe whatever else, who knows), and we always do a duck for Christmas dinner.

i love his family and dh and i will be having a talk so he knows what my limits are and so God help my MIL if she starts in on breastfeeding

Thanksgiving is my fav. holiday, but I'm looking forward to putting up the Christmas tree this year. DH will be here, so that's another big thing to be happy about.

I'm at a loss about what to get Camryn for Christmas. We're not planning on buying for all of the extended family this year, money's just too tight. If we do it's gonna be something small. It sucks when you have to buy for about 15 people.

Good luck! It can be hard when your parenting styles differ from your families. I've learned to nod and say OK, and then totally ignore their "advice" if it's not something relevant.

Well since we will have a new edition to our family for the holidays Im excited!!

Thanksgiving we will spend it with our west coast parents and friends, and then Im cooking us our own meal the next day...

Christmas it will just be us!

The plan so far is for us to leave a couple days after dh leaves for deployment to drive up to Michigan and spend thanksgiving, x-mas and the new year with my family. Then come back down to Okla-boring a week or so after the new year!

I still can't believe it is time for the holidays already....where did the year go!!
