Where can i get beads in bulk?

    Advertisements
Hey guys im starting to make bracelets. I wanna know where i can buy some beads like silver metal balls and the swarovski crystal bicones in bulk. the problem is a bunch of places are really expensive. i recently went to the store to buy some and doing it that way is real expensive too..i figured there are alot of crafty people on here that someone must have an idea lol.

here is an example.. i made a bracelet in honor of my DB. He is in the signal corps, theyre colors are orange and white. i also made a breast cancer bracelet for my grandma who is a proud survivor.. it is pink and clear and also has a pink bow underneath.. and also a simple bracelet i made for my mom.. i want to start selling them but i need more beads first..

here is a link to my album

I would suggest looking into either fire mountain gems or shipwreck beads, they both have web sites and HUGE selections.

I know if you go into JoAnn's they can special order them in bulk for you. You just need the upc of what you want in bulk and they can do it at the registar. I'm sure most corporate crafts stores can. Hope it helps.

I have made some before MySpace - SandyKay - 28 - Female - Where my love goes I will follow, Utah - myspace.com/sandykayroddy if you want to see my pics. I sell Adult ones from $30 and kids from $25. I have had people comment that I charge too much, but I have seen some places on the internet charging $90+ so I would do some research, look at internet companies (mommyandmebracelets.com I think is one) and also etsy and the quality. What can you offer that others can't (speed, is shipping included, guarantee/returns, color selection, uniqueness), etc. Also invest in some good quality tools and I only use stainless steel wire. Just do some research, contact some places and ask thousands of questions. If you need any help, feel free to ask

Go to alibaba.com and do a search for beads and you'll get a list of manufacturers. Best way to get your supplies if you want the lowest price.

I would try ebay, you can order them directly from a factory. Its a lot cheaper then buying them directly from a store like A.C Moore or Michaels.
