I love hiking! I'm not very good at it though. I can't do very long hikes. Like 3-4 miles on rough terrain or 7-8 on mostly flat terrain is my maximum. DH and I used to go basically every weekend but it's too hot now. We'll start in the fall though.

Those are pretty decent length hikes. Why do you say you're not good?

I just wanna be your best friend!

My SIL did the NC section of the Appalachian Trail and is going to Colorado to backpack for like 2 months. I feel your pain though. Oahu has hiking but it's almost all the same. I need something different! Like mountains! Have you done any backpacking out that way since it's such a distance to get to the mountains?

I haven't been fishing since I was young! Y'all go often don't you?
Yass lets be best friends. I would kill to hike in Hawaii! I'm so jealous of you!

I hiked part of the Appalachian Trail up in New Hampshire. I did hike up in the Blue Ridge Mountains out in the Asheville, NC area around 4 years ago when we were stationed here before. I'm planning on going back soon on our big road trip coming up

Me and DH! We really got into camping and hiking when we lived in Colorado. It's so pretty there! Then we got orders to Vegas and the outdoors there just sucks. Too hot to be outside.
Now we're back in an outdoorsy area and have our camper out for the season!

I just feel wussy and I'm slow. DH and I hike with another couple and inevitably I get left behind every single time. Plus after a hiked I feel wiped and need a nap but everyone is like " let's get sushi and then play board games and karaoke tonight!"

My best friend and I just started the 46'er in the Adirondacks. Plan is to do them all over our lifetime. We've done 2 so far
