lone soldier - Groups, Games and Exchanges

I was talking to DH and there is always (or most of the time) a lone soldier in a group...

We were talking about this guy in his platoon with out much family and how he won't really get anything special for Christmas..

Well this is just an idea.. could be a stupid one...

But I was thinking if us women w/ deployed S/O's pick out one deserving person from our S/O's platoon or group and then throw them in a pile and whoever signs up will get a lone soldier and send them a care package for Christmas..

Would anyone be interested??

Well.. Hopefully we're not the only ones that think it's a good idea and I can bust this into action.

Unfortunately I don't think I could participate

You could still nominate a soldier..

That's true. DB will be home so I'm not sure if we could snag one...are we talking deployed soldiers?
