2009 Summer Gift Exchange Rules & Sign Up

What is a Summer Gift Exchange?

You are assigned to a person who will not know who you are (shhhh ,it's to be a secret!!).
You pick out a Summer type gift or gifts and mail it to them.
You reveal who you are with the package/gift(s) you send (you can put a little note, card, or something with it).

Someone else is assigned to you & will send you a Summer gift or gifts.


You may only participate if you have at LEAST 1,000 posts and have been an active member for at least 6 months! **

The deadline for signing up to participate will be Monday June 22nd. The names will be sent out a couple of days after the sign up deadline.

The deadline for mailing out the gift(s) will be Saturday July 18th. It is very important to mail the gift(s) on or before the deadline date. We want to make sure everyone receives their gift in a timely manner.

Rules (Very Important):

1. Only sign up for the Summer Gift Exchange if you truly intend to follow through. If you sign up and for some reason are not able to follow through, Please let me know ASAP. Keep in mind that if you sign up and then don't follow through, you may be banned from participating in things like this in the future.

2. You will need to be able to get a gift(s), pay for the postage, & get it mailed out on or before the deadline date.

3. The deadline date for mailing the gift(s) will be Saturday July 18th. It is important to have it mailed on or before this date so that the person receiving it will have it in a timely manner.

4. Please make sure that you acknowledge the person that sent you a gift(s) It's really important! If you can, please post a pic of the gift(s) you receive. I'm sure we would all love to see the different things that people recieve. That is a really fun part of the exchange too!

Price Limit:

The price limit will be $15.00. Please try to spend as close to that as possible. If you want to spend more that is completely up to you, but keep in mind that who ever is sending you a gift(s), may only be able to spend the $15.00 on your gift(s). The $15.00 limit DOES NOT include shipping, so that will be extra. Shipping will probably cost 5 bucks or more, depending on how heavy your gift(s) is and which method you are using to send it. Make sure to keep that in mind.
