I know I cant be the only recruiter spouse on here . So say hello! Tell us which branch you all are, where you are at, and what you think of the recruiter life!

I'll start . I'm Kristen! My hubby is a recruiter for the Army in Warrensburg MO. We live on an AFB though because it's only 15ish miles away and the nearest Army base is over an hour away (Ft. Lost in the woods).

I personally cant wait for the next 2 years to pass (which is how long we have left here). I love the area and have met some awesome people BUT the hrs hubby works are horrible. I miss him coming home at 5 or 6 like a "normal" soldier.

I'm Mandi, btw, my DH completed four years of recruiting in 07. He worked for RS Louisville (as a canvasser, an NCOIC and finally as the MEPS liason for the last year of his tour). Honestly, the tour as a whole was not that bad. There were certainly moments when I cursed recruiting, the command and everything in sight - but, all in all, the duty was good to us.

My so is a recruiter. Its just a temporary thing b/c of some personal issues that happened about a yr ago when he came home from overseas.They felt he needed to regroup so here he is, a recruiter for Brazos Co.Texas. He lives off base and theres 3 bases (more like small reserve bases) that he travels between each day.They are all here in Brazos Co so he doesnt have far to travel.Plus they just reopened the recruiting office back up in our mall. Sometimes he gets done by 3pm other days its 4:30(he picks me up from work at 5pm).He says he likes having a somewhat normal life but there are times he misses his unit.He is a capt and his unit is like his kids.We have only been dating for 2.5 months so ive yet to deal with deployment.He is supposed to be here for 2 yrs but he thinks we will be transferred next year.We are already talking marriage,possibly March of this year.Anyways.Id love to chat sometime-esp since Im new to this whole military life.
