Crochet Club? - Groups, Games and Exchanges

Is there one? I started to crochet during the summer and all I can do is make dishcloths. I would really like to learn more. Especially amigurumi. These are fancy amigurumi if you don't know what they are http://www.flickr.com/photos/38635695@N00/ .

If there already is a club, could someone post the link? And if not, is anyone interested?

I always make scarves... that's all I know how to do!!

I might work myself up to a scarf. I just haven't attempted that yet.

I think it's easy.. I have them in every color/ length/ and width but I'm usually always working on them when I can

I really want to learn again. All I can do so far is make a chain.

amigurimi are soo easy because they are just single crochet. the biggest problem is just that its soo tight and your hands get tired easily. I bought a really good book that helps you get the hang of it.

You could look on YouTube for how to do more. Maybe. Also there is a page on About.com http://crochet.about.com/

I found a pretty good video on YouTube about how to make an amigurumi but I can't really tell completely what's going on. So if anyone could explain it better, that would be awesome. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5hKBeu2BlhU
Maybe step-by-step pics. Or even a clearer video. I'm still fairly new to crocheting.

Oo that's the same lady that makes the amigurumi that I posted a link to. Hers are so amazing.

LionBrand has some good patterns too. If you are just learning how to read a pattern then the best thing to do is use a pattern that is spelled out. Lots of free patterns are for some that have done lots of amigurimi.
