trying to keep my head above water....

photoshop help please!!
ok, so i made this really cute little thing, but i dont know how to save it to JPEG format. its got a few layers and every time i try and save it it says i have to save it as a copy only so how do i make it in JPEG format so can put it on the web??? and how to i make it the size i want it?? will it just form to the first layer, or do i have to make the background smaller???

You have to "save as copy" to save in jpeg format - that way, you can save the layers in PSD format for later, or you don't have to save as a PSD at all, but it does require you to save as a copy to save as jpeg.
As for the resizing, I'm not sure what you're meaning....you may have to flatten the layers and then do Image Size....but I'm a bit confused on how it's not resizing for you. Good luck.

Save as for web works too.
You don't need to crush the layers to resize. Just go to image sizing, and resize it. It'll even keep the proportions and whatnot if you want. It should resize everything.
