Photoshop file to SVG? - Graphics & Signatures

Can anyone tell me how I can get an image I designed in photoshop to save as an SVG file?

I've never even heard of "SVG" file

and with my Photoshop I can't save it as that.

Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) is a family of specifications of an XML-based file format for describing two-dimensional vector graphics, both static and dynamic (i.e. interactive or animated)

Apparently I might be an idiot and have to do it in Illustrator instead of Photoshop... Ive never done this before
