4 yrs in, 3 as a wife-I just read this, shore duty I had it so easy my husband kept telling me how spoiled I was. He's on deployment, by the time he return, we would of spent 1.5 out of our 3 1/2 yr marriage apart. This made me laugh at some and cry at others. I have new appreciation for occasional emails, and phone calls home. I still sometimes have a hard time relating to being a military wife, when we first got married I met some wives in our old duty station that told me that you aren't really a military wife until you've gone through a deployment-all of it is hard, all of it has been an adjustment. Thank you for this, definitely nailed it.
