Ok. So at least there is a plan.

    1. Contact management.
    2. Obtain vacuum cleaner.

DF and I just spoke and I want to get a head start on this tonight.

So I'll be going over and we'll launder the bedding and clothes and put them in bags. I'm limiting what I bring so as to avoid possible contamination.

In the meantime, I imagine we'll discuss how to draft the email to his landlord and management.

Even if it turns out to be ants or mosquitoes, it's best to get a handle on them right away right?

I don't think I'll be getting a lot of sleep tonight.

Also, just got some spray for "lice, fleas, mosquitoes, bedbugs" and plan to use it if we see some bugs .

My parents are bringing over their vacuum.

There will be answers this evening!

So don't treat by ourselves. Don't bug bomb. Don't change where we sleep. Don't throw things away.

But that is good to know that they can go dormant and foggers can make it worse.

If this post was in reference to what azarmygf posted, I'm sorry this is what you saw but it all makes sense and coincides what I read. It's going to be a costly fix no matter how you look at it.

Yes, it sure looks like it. Both in time and energy. I'm betting his roommate won't help, as it's not in his room. . Well, at least we can start washing and laundering.

    Small update:

When I went over last night we inspected the matress, box spring, frame, and blow the bed. No evidence of bed bugs. No brown spots, egg casings, dead bugs.

We did find a live ant crawling on the matress and a dead mosquito

I am beginning to think he may be right.

I hope it is not bed bugs! That would be really good! Ants are not as bad to deal with (even though they can be pretty terrible).
