Christmas Gifts

After getting my car towed, and a whole other mess, we're tight on money..... right in time for christmas

I wanted to make some Christmas gifts for my mom, and MIL since they'll be at my house for Christmas, something for my step dad and FIL would be great too. (I'm not worried about my little brother, I know Santa is bringing him a million gifts, and he probably won't pay attention to mine... 8 year olds )

So does anyone have any good ideas?! TIA!

I always love to make the fleece blankets. Either do the tie version, or it's really easy to sew a ribbon around the edges. Definitely a quick and easy project, and a gift that will last for a long time.

Hot/cold packs -- take flax seed (or rice, but I prefer flax) and fill a pillow or tube sewn of a flannel picked for each person. They can be put in the freezer for cold pack use or microwaved for a couple of minutes for a nice hot pack. You can make different sizes and shapes for whatever use you would expect most (a nice tube makes a great one to put around the neck/shoulders, for example).
Aprons if the women are into cooking/baking........

You could make picture albums for your Mother and MIL.

Maybe you could personalize some ornaments for your parents or make them holiday wreaths.

Can you maybe make some freezer jams or can some preserves or crockpot apple butter perhaps?

Make a college with your engagement pictures and buy a nice frame for your Mom's. Walmart.com will print up to an 8x10 for pretty cheap, plus you can get it in a hour.
