zoneing out
is it normal for a 4 yr old to completely zone. i mean staring into space and doesnt hear a thing. I mean, I can be sitting right next to Gabe and I have yell to get his attention. I can get right in his face and it's like he doesnt even see me. I have never seen a 4 yr old do this. so now i am starting to wonder if its a late effect from his chemo or if this is normal.

mine does that sometimes. I don't know if he is just not wanting to listen or spacing out. It should be okay. I would just ask your doctor the next time he goes in

My 3 year old zones out every so often but it isn't THAT hard to get his attention.. I would just have him checked.. I'm sure he is fine

Hey girl, don't worry about it too much. Even if it is a side effect of his chemo (probably not, but at least you are being realistic) little guys like that are so resilient. He may have problems right now, but his little body and brain will eventually catch back up and compensate for anything that was damaged. Either way, you know everything will be A-OK!
