Question
When did you guys stop feeding your baby (or toddler) baby food, and what did you start feeding them in it's place?
DD eats a lot of 'regular' foods, and I think she may be getting tired of baby food most of the time.

My kids started tasting and trying out table food as soon as they showed interest (around 6 months), and completely stopped baby food (like gerber and baby cereals) at around 10-12 months, depending on how they liked regular food.
Neither got regular milk until after their first birthday though, before that just formula (for my oldest) and breastmilk (for my youngest), and sometimes some kind of juice or water. It really depends on the baby and the parents, some babies don't take to table food as soon as others, etc. It's sort of trial and error. |

We did the Gerber Graduates as long as DD would eat it, she basically stopped eating it at about 12 months anyways. Now we give her peanut butter sandwiches(shouldnt give a baby under 12 months peanut butter), we give her spagetti, chicken nuggets, basically anything we eat. If its something we think she will have a hard time eating it we cut it up so she can easily chew it!! She also didnt get ANY teeth until after her first birthday so if she has no teeth dont let that stop you!

we never did baby food. Trent was BF'ed for 17 months so he did not start eating table food until 7-8 months. That was when he started to show some interest it. I would just smashed any of the food we were eating and let him taste it.

DD eats things we normally eat: Grilled cheese, hot dogs, chicken (all cut up small), french fries, soft veggies, cheese eggs, PB&J's, chicken nuggets, mac n cheese...things like that.
She's got 8 teeth, so that's definitely not the issue....I just want to make sure she's getting everything, nutritionally, she needs and that I don't cut her off too early.

We let our kids let us know when they are done. With our kids it tends to be more of a gradual tapering off from baby foods. As they eat more table foods they eat less baby food. If they don't eat what we are eating real well for a meal then I will feed them a jar of stage 3's or a thing of Gerber graduates just to make sure that they are full. Eventually though they are eating all table foods and no baby food. I think Taniyah was almost to the last time she had gerber graduates or stage 3 foods.

I started giving my kids table foods when they seemed interested. i fed them baby food until they would no longer eat it. Lily LOVED her baby rice cereal. She was 18-19 months before she stopped wanting it.
