BUNK BEDS
Well we are on the market for bunk beds.
We found a set we really like, they are $600 VERY sturdy, a nice color, and high rails. But, they are very tall. THe ladder is at an angle so it's easier to get up and down. They can be made into nice twin size beds when we have more room. Then at Kmart they have bunk beds that are $200 the kids could probably get about 5 years out of them. But they are smaller and lower to ground (hence safer for a 2 & 3 year old) Not as sturdy and not as pleasing to the eye. So my ? is which would you get? Also do they tents that go over the top of bunkbeds to keep kids from jumping down? |

I think in the long run, the more expensive bunk beds would last longer. I think a lot of times you get what you pay for.....

We are getting the boys bunk beds here soon. I am going for the cheaper, not so high ones. My sis and I had bunk beds growing up and I somehow fell over the rail and out of bed. Wound up breaking my arm. So yea, I am a little paranoid. Especially with Gabe getting the top bunk.

I had the loft growing up too
Only mine was white. I LOVED IT!!Zach is about to get bunk beds I'm having a SUPER hard time finding what I want though. I want a captains bed that's a bunk bed as well. At anyrate I'd go more expensive b/c it will last longer. And if you are worried about the height then keep them seperated for now and bunk them later..kwim. I think most bunks will go into 2 twin beds until you're ready for the bunk. They also have tents but FYI they arn't strong enough to hold a child in. Zach had one for his bed (not to hold him in though only b/c he really wanted it..LOL. And that think never held him in..LOL |

I bought my kids the ones from kmart about two yrs ago. They have their own rooms now so we separated them. They aren't very sturdy, but they are still hanging in there. I got the white set, so it is a bit better looking.

They now make bunk beds that have a full on the bottom for the older child. We thought about that but ended with a captains bed instead. I am to nervious to let our child sleep in a bunk bed because of injury. He walks in his sleep.
