Baby Pictures?
Explain them to me? No one in my family has ever done professional pictures. I want to get Wesson's 6-month ones done.
I thought about Walmart for em...but I dunno. What do I all have to do? Just bring an outfit or two? Do they pick the poses and stuff? Help me...Clueless here.

I like sears over wal-mart. I choose something cute for my kids to wear. I don't usually have any poses in mind. The photographers will suggest poses and ask me what i'd like or they us what to do. When you make the appointment make sure its a time your baby is fed and well rested. He will be happier! I like getting appointments during the weekdays. They aren't rushed like on the weekends.
Oh I forgot about picture people. They are fun! There is so many different portrait studios to choose from. it really depends on how much you want to spend. I always bring in coupons to Sears and they offer a military discount you can use with the coupon! |

I have been taking Hailey every month since she was born. We take her to JCPennys I love them! They do awesome work and they give a awesome military discount and I like that they email all the pictures for free. I have never paid over $10 for pictures and every time I go I get 2 8x10, 2 5x7, 4 3 1/2x5 and 16 wallets. I only bring one outfit and I pick the backgrounds

If I don't do DD's pictures myself, we go to Portrait Innovations. Just a couple changes of clothes are good...maybe a favorite toy or two. A VERY important thing to remember when doing photos with an infant: Do it at the baby's happiest time of day, usually after a good nap and meal.
Also, with holidays coming up, go ahead and schedule your appointment. You might not be able to get one for a couple weeks if not. This is the time of year that people are getting holiday portraits done. Most importantly, make it fun! You and the baby should both enjoy it! That's why I love Portrait Innovations. They get on the floor with the baby and everything. It's great.

I went to Portrait Innovations to get mine done, they did a WONDERFUL job. Mostly- and I think this goes with all studios- just bring a few outfits and be prepared to help the photographer out with poses (I had to be ready to catch ashton if he decided to topple over while he was sitting) & if you have any poses you really want to try to have them in mind to suggest to the photographer, but they'll pretty much do everything- they'll let you know how to pose them etc. They also might ask you what makes him giggle the most so they can keep him going throughout the shoot, so if he particularly likes to laugh at a certain toy or something, I'd bring it.

We take them to sears for the important events. we have our own little studio but we are still building the backgrounds and props so we don't have much yet.
We pick some poses, props. I only bring one outfit and you can get some awesome deals at sears, like 36 prints for 9.99 and what they don't tell you, is that if you wait to get the disk until you pick the photos up you can get 6 more sheets (at least it was that many sheets in August, they change it sometimes) and the disk for 56.00. the disk alone is over 100.00 if you get it right away |

We use Penney's... we did newborn, 3 months, 6 months, and are about to do Christmas/9 month photos. I have loved all our experiences there, it's why I keep going back. We don't have a Picture People here or I would try them maybe.

i have been going every 2 months since she was born. I always got to JCPennys, cause they give a military discount of no sitting fee, free 8x10, your pics are emailed to you free, and sheets of pics are 3.99 and they do a really good job.
