Too early to potty train? - General Parenting

My son is soon to be 15 mos. He has shown interest in the toilet for awhile now, and actually uses his froggy potty twice a day (morning and before bath in the evening).

Is this age too early to fully potty train???

He also comes to me and tells me peepee when I need to change a pee diaper and poopy when he has a diaper of bowel movement...

If he is showing interest, go for it! Boys tend to be harder to potty train then girls and they show interest later... but if he is for it, then I would fully support him and start it now!

Nope not too early, if he's showing you he's gotta go....start training him, he's ready!

Definitely not too early if he is ready. It is only too early if the parent is trying to force the child into being ready

Not to early at all! A friend of mine had their first completely potty trained at 18 months and the second at 17 months. If he is acting ready then go for it!

It's not too early esp if he's showing interest. My aunt potty trained my cousin at 11 months, so anything is possible. Good luck!!

If he is ready, GO FOR IT!!! Otherwise you may lose your chance and when you think he should be getting about ready for it he may refuse to do it and then you will be at a loss... Experience.... I didnt fully jump on my chance I had about a year ago and then when we actually tried this past summer, it took 3 months to get him to be interested in it. And even then he threw a fit and cried every time we had him sit on the potty.

Sounds like a good time to start if he's interested in it. Just remember if he regresses don't push it... he'll get there.

When they're showing interest I think is the best time to jump on the ban wagon.

yeah, i agree with everyone else.
i dont have kids of my own, but i do have 5 nephews and a brother and ive heard that boys are harder to potty train, so start if he's ready! good luck!
