Trunks of Treats - General Parenting

Hey Ladies !

I don't know why I didn't post this before. My church does a really neat thing every year for Halloween, it's called "Trunks of Treats". Basically what happens is, those who want to hand out candy sign up...we pull into our parking lot, fill our car trunks with candy [decorate according to a theme] and let the kids from all around town go through and trick or treat at trunks. I've always thought it was a really nice, safe way to let kids trick or treat and have fun. We also have music, puppet shows, hot dogs, ect...I didn't know if anywhere else did this, but I thought it would be a cool thing to share. It's always a big success.

On a side note, here's my little Lucas at tonights Trunks of Treats. He was a Gnome

He was sooo adorable!!! Everyone post pics on here of your little one in their costume if you want, I'd love to see what everyone came up with !

Oh wow he is so cute!! I know some of the churches around here were doing it. I think it is a good idea.

I love your little gnome! He is sooo cute!

I saw that costume and wanted to buy it for my ds but he wasn't having it.

They do the trunks thing at DH's base in Italy since they don't have base housing on base. It seems kind of cute.
