Any suggestions? DS touched the oven door while I was getting dinner out & he is miserable now. I checked it and I know he isn't burned badly at all- holding my hand on the same spot for the same amount of time just got uncomfortable but didn't burn- but with that sensitive baby skin
I ran it under cool water, put an ice pack on it, gave him some tylenol, put aloe & a sock over it. He just still seems miserable. How do I fix this for him??

Those can actually make it worse.

No ice. It can further damage the skin. Other than that, I think you've done all you can do. They make some aerosol burn sprays (NO CREAMS) but I'm not sure that they're safe for little ones. If he continues to be uncomfortable, take him to the doctor.

It's an old school method. It helps the pain because the creamy substances absorb some of the heat. The problem is that they insulate it and keep the skin exposed to heat for a longer period of time and can do more damage.
