Help me out!! What is that??? - General Parenting

OK so DD just lost her first tooth. The tooth came out looking normal, but she has this stump like thing, where the tooth used to be.

(this is the new pic, I can't get it without it being blurry cause its really shiny and of course wet.)

Can you see it, its the best shot i could get of it. Im thinking its the root??

Isn;t that suppose to come out too? Its kind of freaking me out. Its soft and she says it does hurt, but its weird?

Anyone have any idea of what it is, and if I should do something about it?

Try for a better pic. If the tooth just came out, give it a day or two to see what it does. If the other tooth starts coming in and stuff. Maybe just call on Monday to see what they say.

could it maybe just be some of her skin/gum? That's why it's soft, pink and hurts? Maybe take her to the dentist just to make sure

I think that is pretty normal...It might be her next tooth coming in? But I have seen it when the kiddos at school have lost teeth a little white bump thingy?

Thats the thing its red and almost as tall as her other teeth.

That's why I'm thinking it's like her gum turned inside out so to speak. Does that make sense? I know what I'm trying to say I just can't say it right

OK I just updated my original pic. Atleast know you can kind of see how big it is compared to her other teeth.

Its grossing me out!

I think it might just be swelling. Let it go for today and see what it looks like tomorrow. If it looks the same then I would call the dentist.

Thats probably just loose skin. I wouldnt worry about it unless it takes more than a week to go away.
