FarmVillers, HELP! - Gamers

So I've been asked a few times to adopt a lost animal, and I always accept. But then once I clip accept, the animal never shows up in my farm and I check my market, giftbox, and everywhere else and I can't find these animals!

I really want the adopted animal ribbon, but I have no chance if this keeps happening.

Am I missing something?

when you adopt them it should be in your gifts box!!

I don't know why it's not there. Although I did get a FB notification saying that another one of my friends "adopted the ugly duckling you found". So am I just "finding" them? How do I "adopt" them?

How would I adopt it? Would it be in my giftbox and then I have to adopt it before someone else swipes it up? Like I said, right after I clicked "accept", I didn't see the ducky anywhere.

Other neighbors of yours will have animals wander onto their farm and put them up fr adoption. When they do, they post a message on the news feed that gives you the option to adopt the animal. You can't adopt animals that wander onto your farm.
