Starting off in WoW....

Ok ladies....I purchased WoW today....still loading as I type. So, what do any of you recommend when I build my character???

i pick pretty characters so 99% of mine are blood elves it may take you a few tries to find one you really like. i think i started with a hunter and pretty much tried every class before finding out that i like my paladin the best.

what server/realm are you on?

First of all I would like to welcome you to your new addiction. I would suggest a hunter or a priest as a good starting character.

I have a blood elf. I love her. Im also a hunter and love that. Very easy class to start with. Im on Frostmane and my name is Rhyann.

A lot of us play on Nazgrel, Alliance (although I prefer Horde and feel like a traitor ). On the Alliance side I prefer Draenei because of their racial abilities and they are the closest Hordely looking thing I can get while still being aesthetically pleasing.

My advice is to read up on the classes and races before you decide. There's some info in the game manual (some of it has changed though and some things on classes vary depending on the class you start with). Also on the create character screen there is info on each race and class, just a basic summary but not quite as informative as the game manual.

I'm biased towards hunters But they are a good starting class but it really does depend on the person. Some people just are better at certain classes.

I <3 my priest... she's human and purdy! I play mostly on Blackhand b/c my husband made a guild that very active and they whine if I dont play lol

I have a Night elf druid lvl 45 and a night eld hunter lvl 37. I play on the Duskwood sever, lol pretty much cause it's really easy to rememeber and no wait to get on that server. I by far love my hunter the best, very easy to solo with, as with my druid once you get a certain lvl it becomes reall hard to solo.

Thanks ladies. It took forever to upload so I ever got to start up last night. My DB is on some server that starts with an "M", can't remember it at the moment. But, I was also going to set up a character on the Nazgrel server to play with all the addicted ladies here.

Well I just transfered my lv. 70 to Mal'Ganis (Horde side) if it's that one. I have the toon on Nazgrel, some on Shandris and others on Thunderlord. Because I am a huge geek.
