Freebie Scams - Freebies

Beware of where you're entering your personal information such as your home address AND phone number. It could be a dangerous trap!

Recently, I've realized that scammers are creating freebie websites to entice people to submit their personal information to win freebie items, such the recently posted Lindt chocolates. Even the thread that mentioned free ovulation tests and pregnancy tests was determined to be a scam.

I find it scary, since identity theft is on the rise. Another reason why I find it scary is because it could lead to possible home invasions, burglaries, abductions, etc.

I always worry about these too. Just because someone you trust posted it does not mean that they have not also been taken.

You should ask a MOD if they can sticky this. It's really important people keep this in mind.
