    How long did it take

For BAH to start kicking in for everyone? DH still isn't getting it and we're going on 3 months. His yeoman said a month ago he should get it on his next check and two pay checks later it still hasn't happened... I'm fed up. I got BAH the next paycheck after I was eligible so I don't understand why it's taking this long.

Usually it's within a couple of pay cycles. 3 months is way too long!

Dh had issues with his pay and ended up having to call the processing center.

That's what I said! They literally just change a code in the system; it shouldn't take 3 months! Plus DH turned in all the paperwork right after we got married. I guess another guy on the boat also had it take 3 months for his BAH to kick in and even then he didn't get all his back pay for another 2 months. It's ridiculous.

I keep telling him to go to a finance office to talk to them since the yeoman never has an actual answer and he has yet to have time. But he doesn't get why I get frustrated each pay period when I don't see his portion of BAH coming into our account...

Ugh, I'm worried about having this issue after we get married in August. One of df's guys had it happen, last I know of it had been like 3 months and it still wasn't fixed so him and his wife haven't even been able to move in together and she still lives 3 hours away, that's really messed up to me.

We got BAH the very first paycheck, there was no waiting period for us. His recruiter submitted some paperwork like 3 weeks before he left for BCT, maybe that had something to do with it. They had our lease and everything way in advance. DH didnt have to talk anything besides his social security card to BCT.

I'm not sure if our situation was similar...but we had a huge delay after we got married and moved. Here's the timeline...
    Saturday, 11/17 we got married.
Tuesday, 11/20 I was in DEERS as his dependent.
Friday, 11/23 we moved from Jacksonville, FL to the D.C. area.
We were getting paid single guy, Jacksonville, FL BAH until mid March the next year. It was a huge difference from married guy D.C. metro area BAH.

**We were told the same thing you were...it'll be on the next check...then the next, etc.

I could not imagine living on single Jacksonville BAH in DC! I couldn't even imagine married Jacksonville BAH in DC that must have been so hard.
