Budgeting System that I fell in love with.

    Advertisements
I came across this last year and put it into place the beginning of 2013 and I have to say that after only one month I really love it, so I wanted to share.

Echoes of Laughter: The Absolute Easiest Way To Track, Pay & Organize Your Household Bills...No Filing Involved!

What is really nice it that it is all right there, no filing, and the calendar makes it super easy. I have also been writing the amount of gas on the day I purchase it and it helps a ton to look at a glance and see how often an how much a month we actually are spending on gas without having to track down receipts. I also normally pay over on my bills, so if the bill is $45.20 I will pay $46 because I like round numbers and putting that need to pay amount on the calendar and in red the what I paid amount helps me keep amazing records super simply.

Here are some pictures of mine!

I am so impressed with how easy and effective it really is. I've tried a lot of methods but this is by far the easiest, most compact, hassle free I have found. Bonus is I know with this system too if something were to happen where I wasn't home or whatever DH would be able to successfully pay the bills himself and that is comforting to me.

I keep things longer so I'll have to modify it a bit but I really like this!

I keep things longer than a year but I figure each year it can be removed from the binder and put into a big yellow envelope with the year and stored much easier than trying to hunt it all down at the end of the year.

Pinned I keep written logs of the bills I pay but DH pays some and I want to keep better track of that. I'm not worried about him paying them but I think I should be aware in case I need to do it myself. Plus, I love binders

That's a really great method. I am definitely going to try it.
Where are we going and why are we in a handbasket?
