Help NFCU -$15.00 "Share Adjustment" transaction??

    Advertisements
Has anyone ever had this type of transaction come out of their accounts? I noticed that our Savings Account had a -$15.00 "Share Adjustment" transaction from today...?

I couldn't find anything online about it (I checked the fee schedule too, and the only thing that costs $15, is a returned check- but this was out of our Savings, not checking, and we haven't written any $15 checks).

    You're welcome.

Do you do transfers between your savings and checking? If there are more than 6 a month, there is a fee. That's a federal law. The bank I work for has it too. I've never heard it called that before.

I thought that too, but, we haven't had more than 6 transfers in a month... I looked for that too.

    You're welcome.

I have no idea then, I'm sorry. Maybe try calling them? I believe they are open 24/7.

Do you have other accounts with them? We had that happen when we missed a credit card payment. They just made the adjustment to pay the cc. . Hth

Sasha, I work as a teller at a credit union.

The only thing I can think of is maybeeeee they messed up a deposit/transfer or something of the like on your account and were fixing it. But you'd be BEST to call their member services line FIRST THING in the morning to get the ball rolling on figuring it out.

Okay! So, I didn't think about the fact that they're call center was open 24/7, so thank you Jersey for pointing that out. I just called, and it was our "Lein Processing Fee".. We refinanced our car loan to them back in Oct/Nov, and that fee just happened to pop up now. She said it always confuses people because it takes a few months to come through, and that's what the DMVs charge Navy Fed to process the car lein, so then we pay them back, basically. Anywho, thanks everyone!

    You're welcome.

    Gotcha

Our CU adds the title fee onto the loan. But what they did makes sense. I'm glad you were able to call! What a relief!
