    Question Transferring money online?

    Advertisements
I want to transfer money from our Armed Forces account to our other bank account. Where do I go to do that? I know you can do it online, I just forgot how.

If your bank has something like Bill Pay Online then you can probably do it that way. I don't have that set up on my account at the creditunion I work at but I know it can be done

I checked my Armed Forces account because I know I've done it before but now I completely forget

The only way I've ever seen to do it between banks is an online wire transfer, which when we had BOA it cost 25 bucks to do that.

I called because I couldn't figure it out. You can transfer from AF account to AF account online, but from AF to another bank you have to do it over the phone....with a $20 charge.

I was HOPING to avoid paying (we have to pay an ATM fee when we pay rent) anything for the transfer, but I'm just going to go withdraw it from an ATM, take it to the bank, deposit it, and write the check.

Once I finally go in and change my name at the bank, I'm overriding DH and I'm ordering checks.

My USAA account is connected to my BOA account so I don't get a charge for transfering between the two.

    I love USAA!
