    Budgeting with Mint

    Have you ever used mint.com?

It's amazing to see the breakdown of where all our money goes. We spend an OUTRAGEOUS amount of money on food... like it's disgusting.

I do, but it hasn't really helped because it doesn't seem to have everything on it.
I use a spread sheet now, that way i can clearly see what's going where.

It seems kind of confusing... But I think the more I use it the more I'll get the hang of it. Like.... if we cut down how much we spend on food (groceries, fast food, and restaurants) we could pay off a ton of our bills in no time It's embarrassing, and I can see now why we've both gained weight

I liked the way Mint consolidated all of my debts so I could see everything, but it didn't stay current. All the numbers were always 2 weeks behind so it would send me notices and reminders late. Now I just use my debit card for everything and track everything that way.

Yes we just started using Mint. So Far I like it I have had to make some changes, but I really like being able to look at the comparisons and keep and eye on things.
