Go where? you can mail them to him to sign and then mail in.
Or get a IRS power of attorney.

To the tax center on base. And he's here so I don't need to mail them. I guess he has to go then.

DH filed ours without me there... so I'm sure there's some way to do it.

Well, there are places he needs to sign.

ETA: honestly, i think I would avoid the tax center. Here at our base at least. Dh was talking to someone in his chain that was telling a story about him and his friend (same rank, married, no kids) and one went to h&r block and got back a couple thousand, while the other went to the tax center and got a couple hundred. Even with the fees to have them professionally done, he still came out ahead

Since he's home, he needs to sign them. I think he needs to pull up his big boy pants & go take care of what needs to be done.
It'd be a completely different story if he was deployed.

I filed them last year when DH was deployed. I had to sign for him & they just put "deployed" next to my signatures in his lines.

yea, I could have filed for dh last year, but both you and your husband can delay up to 6 months after he gets back from deployment if you are filing joint. It makes it so much easier (Imo) if both people are there when filing
